With the V-series we incorporate the highly acclaimed VELA system into our range of spearguns. This system aims to effectively cover the needs of the most demanding spearos with a high-performance product using top of the range components.

The VELA system provides the speargun a practically recoil-free shot, improving precision and increasing shaft speed, which in turn provides high penetrating power at longer range. Having the bands placed below the gun barrel, the shaft is left completely visible which allows for a fast and intuitive aim at our prey.

The Orca V body has a high mass, for its construction we have used different types of carbon fiber and epoxy resins providing extreme rigidity to the final assembly. The lateral rail guides on either side of the spear reduce in size from the muzzle and disappear before the shooting mechanism. This makes the barrel more hydrodynamic and improves handling.

The components have undergone numerous tests on land and sea, selecting the highest quality and most resistant ones. The VELA includes high performance rollers mounted on zirconium oxide ceramic bearings, which maximise the shaft speed as it leaves the gun.

The band loading points and reel bracket have been designed to facilitate the loading process, avoiding the need to pass the bridle over the reel. This component has been constructed from 3mm marine grade stainless steel.

The spear has also been made to our specifications using an 8mm shaft and inverted flopper. It is also possible to request the gun to be mounted with a slip tip instead.

The Orca V 115 is aimed for fishing large specimens with the wait (aspetto), drop or stalking techniques in clean or mid visibility water. The main fish intended for this gun are grouper, meagre, amberjack, dentex and large snapper

Due to all of the above we have produced a compact speargun with lots of power and precision, with one of the main features also being its high maneuverability for a gun in this category.
